For your littlest Valentines, this Valentine printable is cute and easy and the only assembly required is taping or stapling an individual bag of Goldfish crackers to the back of the card. (Pro tip: Buy in bulk at Costco if you have a membership.)
This one is such a crowd-pleaser at daycare because the kids get a healthy-ish snack instead of candy, and it’s appropriate for the youngest toddlers. I used these for both my boys for their second Valentine’s Day (when they were 1).

Cute Goldfish Bowl Valentine Printable for Toddlers
Start by printing onto regular letter-size cardstock (see my favorite in Tips below). No need for the pre-punched paper stock for this one!
Using a paper trimmer for best results, cut the sheet in half and then in half again, so you have 4 cards.
If you’re OCD like me, trim a little extra off the left and right side of each card, so it is square. If it doesn’t bother you, save yourself a step and grab the Scotch tape.
Attach your card to the bag of Goldfish with tape or staples. The first time I made these, I stapled them and finished all the assembly in about 10 minutes in entirety. But then I didn’t love the idea of having a staple near food that my toddler would be interested in.
Scotch tape to the rescue. I positioned the card at a slightly diagonal angle across the bag, and taped in the upper-right and lower-left corners.
Voila! Use a red Sharpie to sign your child’s name and you’re finished.
Tips for Printables:
- Smooth cardstock is the starting point for all my printables. Here’s my favorite from Amazon (Prime):
Wausau 40508 Neenah Exact Index, 110 lb, 8.5 x 11 Inches, 250 Sheets, White, 94 Bright - You’ll need a way to cut them out. Grab a pair of scissors or if you’re OCD about straight lines like I am, you need a paper trimmer in your life. This little tool is a must for all my DIY projects. Just line up the paper, slide, and DONE. Straight lines, no cut fingers. Here are two of my picks (I own both and use them for different purposes):
Fiskars 12 Inch SureCut Deluxe Craft Paper Trimmer (152490-1004)
Marigold Scrapbooking Craft Stack Paper Trimmer , Blue , 12″ (GTC410) - If you don’t want to invest in a paper trimmer, a simple X-Acto knife and ruler will work just as well. My X-Acto knife is pink, of course:
X-ACTO Craft Tools 1 Knife With Safety Cap, Pink
