Sometimes the most festive treats don’t have to be the most complicated. When I’m invited to a holiday party or event, I almost always volunteer to bring something. And when I don’t have a lot of time but want something that looks impressive and tastes good, I grab my favorite sprinkles and start melting chocolate.
These white chocolate-dipped Golden Oreos are always a crowd pleaser, and once I teach your my patented dipping technique, you can make a couple dozen of them in about 20 minutes.
Plus, the possibilities for decorating them are limited only to the sprinkles you have on hand.
For example, Easter:
Halloween:
Birthday:
Even bachelorette party (and yes, those are what you think they are):
I personally think that the “nonpareils” (the tiny circular dots) or larger sugar crystals taste best in this recipe, but any kind of sprinkles will work. You can even be adventurous and let your kids help you do the sprinkling!

Easy White Chocolate-Dipped Celebration Oreos
Ingredients:
- 1 package of Golden Oreos
- Ghiradelli white chocolate melting wafers (you can use candy melts too but the Ghiradelli white chocolate tastes so much better)
- Sprinkles of choice (try this nonpareil variety for lots of mix-and-match options or classic rainbow nonpareils for all occasions)
- Parchment paper or foil for work space
How-To:
Start by preparing your work surface with parchment paper or foil. The Oreos will need to dry and harden on this surface after you dip them.
Melt your white chocolate wafers according to package directions in a shallow bowl.
Place one golden Oreo into the bowl and cover with melted white chocolate.
Scoop Oreo onto fork and gently shake back and forth rapidly to remove all excess white chocolate. The finished product should be smoothly dipped without excessive dripping.
Slide the dipped Oreo off the fork onto parchment paper or foil. Add sprinkles to decorate (less is more on the sprinkle application, unless you’re a toddler).
Let dry until chocolate is fully hardened, about 20 minutes. Before packaging, shake gently to remove excess sprinkles.
Tip: These make a great teacher gift or accompaniment to a birthday present.
Voila! A perfect party treat that appeals to kids and adults alike.
A note about Oreos: Why golden Oreos? There’s something about the combination of golden Oreos, white chocolate, and sprinkles that is just magic. Of course you can dip any kind of Oreo and it will be delicious. But I’m partial to the golden ones for this recipe.
