Make Your Own Valentine Cards and Bingo Game with Dollar Store and Party Store Finds

Ordinarily, I’d spread out my valentines into individual posts over the course of one fun valentine week of content — but here’s the deal: Valentine’s Day is less than two weeks away, and you don’t have time for that and I don’t have time for that either.

Let’s cut to the chase. I’ve got six different valentine options that combine dollar store or party store trinkets with my free printables to make cute, custom cards for your kids. These are so simple they don’t require instructions. (For something a little more involved, my Minecraft pixel sword valentine step-by-step is here.)

And if you’re room mom for the V-Day party or you just need something to do with your own kids on Valentine’s Day, I’ve got a festive Valentine Bingo printable as well. Grab conversation hearts to use as markers and get ready to play.

Before we jump in, let me share my list of go-tos for easy at-home paper DIYs. If you’ve got these essentials on hand, you can create 95% of my craft projects without having to buy another thing.

The #NeverDoneWithFun Essentials for Printables

Free Printable Valentine Cards

Magical Unicorn Lollipop Valentine

The only “girl” valentine on my blog — and unsurprisingly, my favorite. This one requires a little cutting to shape the unicorn’s head where you’ll attach the twist lollipop “horn.”

The least expensive option for mini twist rainbow lollipops I found was at Party City – $6.99 for 20. Better yet, they have a bunch of different single-color options if you’d rather your unicorns have lavender or pink swirly horns.

If you’re a planner, Oriental Trading also sells these for a comparable price, and you can snag Bingo prizes at the same time.

Superhero Lollipop Valentine

Sawyer wanted superheros this year, but not just one superhero — “all the kinds of superheros, mama.” OK, kiddo, I’ve got you covered.

For maximum customization, the capes and masks are provided in standard “superhero” colors — without any specific logos. If you want to get extra crafty, let your kids stick stickers onto the capes to personalize it to their favorites. We used Batman and Wonder Woman because those were the stickers I had on hand.

There’s some cutting involved with this one — you’ll have to cut out the capes and you’ll have to cut out the masks. Tip: Print the masks onto Avery easy-peel 30/sheet rectangular labels so that you can stick them directly to the lollipop.

Pokemon Valentine — Three Ways!

One card design, but lots of options to customize depending on how much you want to spend on the “prize.”

The easiest and least expensive option is to grab a selection of Valentine’s Day pencils from the dollar store and tape into Pikachu’s hand. Easy, color-coordinated, and practical.

Another option is Amazon Prime-able: these Pokemon stickers. You get 45 for under $6 so you can give each child 2 if you’re feeling generous. I slipped the stickers into a little cello bag (you can find similar options in stores at Party City in the baking aisle). This rainbow striped one from Party City is another fun option.

Finally, if you want a lot of wow factor, those Pokemon plastic figures I used on the Pokemon birthday cupcakes are a fun option. The original set I purchased is currently unavailable on Amazon but there are a few other options depending on how much you want to spend.

Personally, the dollar store pencils are my favorite aesthetic for this valentine … and the most budget-friendly!

Dinosaur Valentine

I wasn’t planning on dinosaur valentines, but then I loved Sawyer’s birthday party invitation so much that I decided to quickly translate the design into a valentine.

Add a miniature plastic dinosaur figure like the ones I used in my dinosaur fairy garden (you can also often find these at the dollar store for even cheaper), and secure to the card with a glue dot. Rawr! Dino-mite, right?

Hopping Frog Valentine

When I was browsing the dollar store, I found these little plastic leap frogs in the party favor section and knew my kids would go crazy for this tiny piece of plastic that you can launch across the floor with your finger.

Outdoor Adventure Creepy-Crawly Valentine

For your little outdoorsman or bug hunter, this creepy-crawly valentine that comes with a plastic bug, frog, snake, turtle, or lizard is another one that’s sure to be a crowd pleaser. These plastic figures are also from the dollar store in the party favors section. (Anything that comes in a pack of 24 is right up my alley.)

Valentine Bingo

We had so much fun with Holiday Bingo at Easton’s class party this year, I updated the set of 8 cards to a love-themed Valentine Bingo to continue the fun.

Prizes from the dollar store (i.e., those valentine pencils, heart stickers, candy, etc.) make the game fun, and a bag of conversation hearts is perfect to use as markers. Because no one wants to eat those chalky things anyway!

I hope this quick guide to all things Valentine printable helps to simplify the next two weeks for you! Tag @neverdonewithfun on social media if you make any, and I’ll share your creations to my Stories.
